 Jack Kent Cooke Foundation’s Young Scholars Program 


 Jack Kent Cooke Foundation’s Young Scholars Program, an opportunity for eligible 7th graders which consists of a 5-year, pre-college scholarship that includes:

  • Planning and goal setting
  • Funding for academic and extracurricular opportunities
  • Annual summer programs
  • Peer networking

We’re sharing this information with AVID middle school principals and AVID Site Coordinators in your district and wanted to make you aware of the opportunity as well.

  • The application opens Thursday, February 9, and closes Thursday, May 11. Students can apply here.
  • The application requires responses to short-answer/essay questions, parent forms, recommendations, and copies of student report cards.
