Return to Learn Hybrid A/B Schedule Update

Cherokee County School District will begin to transition to an updated Hybrid A/B schedule beginning the week of September 14-18, for both elementary school and middle/high school students.  Friday will now become an added face-to-face, in-person learning day for Hybrid A/B students.  Hybrid A/B students will alternate attending school in-person each Friday, every other week.  Please see the weekly schedules below for guidance.

In an effort to help our families plan as we potentially transition safely back to a 5-day in-person school week in the future, we have created schedules for students for the next three weeks. CCSD Virtual Academy students will continue with their 5-day schedule.  Thank you for remaining flexible as we navigate our way, slowly, steadily and safely back, to ensure the safety of our students and staff.

In our Return to Learn Plan, we provided a process of reviewing our current Hybrid A/B schedule and COVID-19 information to determine if we could safely return to a five-day, in-person school schedule in early September. Cherokee County School District has chosen to phase in a five-day, in-person school schedule at our elementary schools. Middle and high school students will continue on the Hybrid A/B schedule until further notice.

On October 5, 2020, elementary students will begin attending five days a week for in-person instruction. Unless there is a significant increase in the spread of COVID-19 or changes to State, Federal, and CDC/DHEC mandates or guidelines, we will continue on this path to an increased face-to-face learning option for our elementary level students.
